Everything that makes us up from a conscious standpoint is embroidered in the three dimensional network of our brain.
Our hopes and dreams, our personality, our memories, our secrets, our strengths and weaknesses and our perceptions of the world are located, as if on a map, within this web of neurological tissue. We know this is true because once the brain is damaged, injured, or diseased, the state of affairs of mind and of body is altered. Experiments have been performed on human beings, whereby through electrical stimulation of certain parts of the brain, sensory experiences have been simulated as if they were real (Restak, 1979). Truly, the brain is the most important organ of the human body.
